Hannah Joy, my sister. She is 19 years old and critically ill today (Feb 12), being flown for emergency care in Edmonton.

Hannah has been at deaths door 40 times! 39 of these required CPR to restore her heart. The other was following a surgery, were she stopped breathing and had no heartbeat for about 5 minutes. We had all received the call that she was dead.

Today she is somewhat stable but very at risk - and we covet your prayers. She is suffering with extreme chest pain and dangerous viral complications, in addition to the pulmonary hypertension she was diagnosed with at age 5. The pacemaker and valve in her heart won’t be enough to save her if death comes…and for sure it has threatened to many times before this. But Jesus has saved her! Eternally, yep, but also through dozens and dozens of miraculous healings. Yet Hannah’s medical condition never goes away. It’s hard to understand why.

Today in my grief, as I cried out on behalf of the sister who is also an aunt to my children and a daughter to my parents, the Lord God spoke to me! These are words for you, Hannah….

“Hannah. You have purity of heart and an incredible gift of bringing peace to those around you - even when in crisis or pain.

Satan recognized this when you were young and has been persecuting you. But because of your beautiful heart and gifts, the Lord has allowed this to continue because it’s your righteousness through Jesus that the devil hates - and God has purposed your life to bring MANY to salvation.

This does not mean that Jesus will not fully heal you, or that you should stop desiring that and begging for it. Press on! Ask boldly before the throne of heaven, weep at the feet of Jesus, be honest in your suffering. That itself is also righteousness.

However, it does mean that when your persecution intensifies, as it is now, the Lord God has provided you a mighty sword of the Spirit, with which you can slay demons by simply speaking. When you use the name of Jesus - Satan and his servants will FLEE.

This means that whoever you are speaking to, or who is caring for you when you are too sick to speak, can be made free in that moment to actually SEE Jesus!

This is a very powerful ministry and the Lord would only entrust it to the righteous. This means that you are righteous and set apart. You are greatly loved!

For Jesus says…

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:8-10

You are a warrior - and you will be filled with peace through this present time and forevermore. Jesus will bless you for what you have suffered - so keep running the race! Eyes on the prize! You are so loved.”
