HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED...
Is there a God? Who was Jesus really? Can I be certain I'll go to heaven? Am I good enough?
You are not alone! Some people go their whole lives surrounded by Christians, even going to church, and still wonder things like this. Asking questions is the first step. There are tons of great resources online, addressing these and other questions, but the following information might help point you in the right direction.
IN THE BEGINNING...
Jesus already was. He hadn't come to us in human form yet, but He was already one with God - actively participating in creation!
The bible says:
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, and the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." Genesis 1
In the beginning the Word [Jesus] already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
John 1
THE LAMB OF GODÂ WHO TAKES AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD
Immanuel - God with us
He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him.  He came to his own people, and even they rejected him.  But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.  They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.  So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.  And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
(John 1:10-14)
BUT HOW CAN I KNOW THIS IS ALL TRUE?
It's kind of like adventuring across a bridge for the first time...you didn't create the bridge, you don't know for certain its trustworthy, but oh that view...and so you go for it
Here's the scoop. Nobody comes to salvation unless the Spirit of God draws Him - for Jesus chose you and created you to know Him! God is so grand, so good, and so compassionate that He has reached out.. and He is reaching out to you now.. If you seek - truly seek - you will find. You'll know you've found it because your eyes will be opened and you will feel love like you've never known possible.
SALVATION
Turn from sin to Jesus for mercy - that is the gospel! It's not hard, it's not scary, its an invitation. And it's free! The bible says:
If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-10

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him." - Jesus, John 3:36

And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12
