Is Isa/Jesus Allah?

More than a prophet...what is the good news?

When Allah made the world, He said "Kun Fia Kun" and all things came into being!  And the pinnacle of His creation was Sayidna/Hazrat, Adam.  He placed him in Jennah to be a Khalifa, king over paradise, and gave him a beautiful wife, Hawa/Eve to rule with him.  Adam was to walk the Surat Al Mustaquim, the straight and narrow path, following after the image of Allah, his Creator.   He was not to go to the right, or to the left, but to rule under Allah and walk in His ways.  As Allah was holy, so Sayidna Adam was to be holy, and this was meant to last forever - for all of eternity.  The Holy Book says that Adam and Eve walked with God.  They were friends.

But shaytan/Iblis, the devil, came into the garden.  He found Hawa and deceived her.  "Why has Allah not allowed you to eat all the fruit in the garden?  Why not this one delicious fruit of this tree?  He must not want you to know that when you eat it you will become just like Allah, you will know all things.".  So Eve ate of the fruit and gave some to her husband.  Sayidna Adam should have known better, he should have led his wife to obey Allah and walk the Surat Al Mustaquim.   But no, he wanted the same thing as Hawa, to be like Allah.  And so he ate of the fruit and sinned before God - the first sin, khatiya/goona/paap.  And when he ate of the fruit, everything changed for all of his descendants forever.

First, he suffered shame.  Adam and Eve tried to hide their nakedness.  When Allah came to the garden to walk with Adam, calling out his name, Adam hid, for he was afraid of Allah.  Fear entered the world because Adam and Eve were no longer Holy as Allah is Holy.  And the result of this was separation from Allah, who said they must leave the garden and suffer the curse of death.  Khatiya/sin broke covenant with Allah.

(GENESIS 3:17-19 in Kitab Al Moquadis)

All the pain and suffering that we know in this world came because of our father Adam, and we all share his blood - his dem, rhakto - coursing through the veins of all humanity.

We are all born into sin, khatiya, for evil comes from within.  Sin comes from our heart, our qalb.  It is in our blood.

We know that the wage of sin is death, mawt, and jehennum/hell - eternal separation from Allah.  This is the bad news.  By our very nature, according to our blood, we are born into sin.  And our wage for sinful works of breaking the Surat Al Mustaquim, walking in rebellion to Allah, is death.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of Allah is eternal life (Halud) in Christ Jesus our Lord.

According to this ayat, even one sin deserves a wage.  Adam only sinned one time and suffered the curse.  This means that each of us can suffer Jehennum.  We can lose Allah when we die.

Do you know that in the Qur'an we have over 6000 commands?  Even the prophets cannot follow them all.  What chance do we have?  Not one of us can say that we are completely without sin.

But Allah is love!  He did not want to leave us in this situation, suffering from the curse of death.  So He created a rescue plan to free us from our sin, from our separation, and from our own judgment.  He gave us a gift!

If Allah wants to give you a gift, will you take it?

The gift is eternal life!

You do not have to work for it.  Our striving only brings us death.  No, Allah knows that we are weak and He has made a way.  The gift is Himself.  The gift is free.

In surah Al Imran (3) 59; Romans 5:12-21, we are told that Allah sent a second Adam and this was Isa Al Masih, Jesus the Messiah (Al Imran (3) 45).  He did what the first Adam could not do!

Isa Al Masih never disobeyed Allah.  He perfectly walked the Surat Al Mustaquim!  (Al Imran (3) 51; Maryam (19) 36; Al Zukhruf (43) 61;  John 14:6)

In Surah Al Imran, he also calls Isa the Kalamatuallah: The Word of Allah.  (Al Imran (3) 45; John 1:1-18)

In the beginning, Allah said

"Kun Fia Kun: Be and it is!"

Isa is called the Kalam of Allah - He is not just a word from Allah, He IS the word of Allah.  He IS the Kun Fia Kun.

In Surah Maryam (19) 17 the word is also called the Ruallaah: The Spirit of Allah.  (Luke 1:26-27).  Allah breathed of His Spirit into Maryam (Mary), into her womb, creating Isa Al Masih!  A Holy One.  One who had never sinned, for he had no earthly father - born of a virgin: a holy seed, conceived of Allah's Spirit.

No other prophet has ever been born this way.  No other prophet can say they are without any sin, not even Muhammad.

Isa Al Masih was so holy that he never was with a woman, he never took a wife he was so dedicated to the service of Allah.  He also never took up a weapon in the name of din/religion.  Isa Al Masih came to the world open-handed, a man of peace.  Isa Al Masih was a hard working man, a carpenter.  He was a poor man, with no home to call his own.  He was so much more than a prophet - Isa showed us the very heart of Allah!  He is the second Adam!  The Holy One who came to be a Qurbani, an Adhya, a sacrifice.

When Isa Al Masih first stepped onto the scene as the Holy One of God, another prophet -  Yahya, John the Baptizer - looked at Isa and said, "Look, there is the Haruf Allah, the lamb of Allah, the Qurbani of Allah that covers the sin of the whole world!".  Yahya knew who Isa was - the promised one of God!  The final adhya, the final sacrifice, who would cleanse all people of their sin and remove the judgment of Allah for khatiya.

The Good News

Isa Al Masih is the redeemer of the first Adam and all his seed.

Allah covered our sin with the blood of Isa Al Masih, the perfect sacrifice who suffered Jehennum for us, and then rose from the dead.  He walked the Surat Al Mustaquim, He gave the perfect sacrifice for our sin, He conquered death by rising again, and He ascended to the right hand of Allah!  He knows the way to Jennah, He IS the way to Jennah.  Isa says, in John 14:1 and 3, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me", and "I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also."

Jesus is not just a son of God, He is Allah revealed to us in human form.  And His gift of salvation is free for all who would receive.   The Holy Book says:

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.  Romans 10:9-10

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him." - Jesus, John 3:36

And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.  Acts 4:12

DO YOU WANT THIS FREE GIFT?!!!   Only believe!  Trust in the perfect righteousness of Isa Al Masih, mot your own imperfect efforts, and in His final sacrifice for your sin.  Trust in the reseurrection of Isa Al Masih from the dead.  He is alive!  Ask Allah to reveal Himself to you through His Word, through His Spirit, through Jesus.
